NTPGA Junior Tour Updates

NTPGA Junior Tour Updates

Update as of 5:00 PM CT on Friday, May 22, 2020.

We hope this email finds you safe and healthy. With the announcement of our summer schedule last month, we made it clear that the safety of our players, staff and junior tour families is top priority. To ensure the safety of everyone, we have made significant changes to our operating procedures.

It is important that all Junior Tour members, caddies and families familiarize themselves with these procedures. Please read the documents below carefully and help us make our return to the course as safe and successful as possible.

We look forward to seeing you back on the course!

New Policies and Procedures

Update as of 5:30 PM CT on Monday, April 20, 2020.

After much consideration, the Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour has decided to further extend the postponement and/or cancelation of all Junior Tour and Foundation events through Memorial Day - May 25, 2020. All of those currently slated to play in tournaments prior to that date will receive refunds.

With this announcement that also means that we have unfortunately canceled our Spring Series Area Championships. However, we are proud to recognize our Spring Series Points Challenge champions. You can view those results HERE. Awards will be mailed to each winner in the coming weeks.

Our staff will continue to work remotely and be available should you have any comments or concerns. All staff member contact information is listed HERE.

On behalf of the entire team at the Northern Texas PGA, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment these changes may have caused you and your family. We completely understand how difficult this time is, and we are eager to return to the course for tournament golf when it is advisable.

Stay healthy and safe,
Mark Harrison

I hope this email finds you safe and healthy. As we enter the month of April I would like to provide you with a few updates regarding our programming, as well as highlight some ways to stay involved with the NTPGA Junior Tour this month.

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves, we have continued to monitor developments and follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), local and national health organizations, as well as our local and federal government officials. That being said, there have been several changes made to our programming in the coming weeks. I would like to provide you with the following updates as of April 1, 2020:

On behalf of the entire team at the Northern Texas PGA, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment these changes may have caused you and your family. We completely understand how difficult this time is, and we are eager to return to the course when it is advisable.

However, I would like to encourage you to continue to be engaged with your NTPGA staff, your local PGA professional and your fellow Junior Tour members throughout these uncertain times. Our staff has been working on new strategies to connect with our membership through the game of golf in a safe way. Listed below are some of the ways you can connect with our staff and other junior golfers. I highly encourage you to take part in them until we can resume our normal operations.

Updated as of 1:35 PM CT on Monday, March 16, 2020

As the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, the Section is closely processing new developments and continuing to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and local and national health organizations.

After thoughtful consideration, the Section will be extending the postponement and/or cancelation of Junior Tour and Foundation events through April 12, 2020. All those currently slated to play in an event will receive a full refund.

Following the declaration of COVID-19 as a national emergency along with the cancellations of The Masters and several PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour tournaments, the Section is taking this precautionary step to prevent the spread of the virus and support the well-being of our players and families, staff and communities.

With the exception of a handful of staff members, the Section staff has begun working remotely starting today - Monday, March 16. All operations and services will continue as normal, and we will maintain consistent exceptional levels of service. Click HERE for a list of our staff's contact information including email addresses and direct phone numbers.

On behalf of the entire team at the Northern Texas PGA, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment these changes may have caused you and your family. We very much appreciate and thank you for your patience and understanding.

We look forward to seeing you at an NTPGA Junior Tour event sooner rather than later. Please know that we realize that as parents you will be looking for ways to entertain and provide activities for kids in a socially responsible, safe and controlled environment before long. Our staff, PGA Members and facilities are already working towards ways to do just that. I feel that of all the youth sports available to kids, golf is one of the best sports available to play during these trying and turbulent times.

Please be safe and contact me by email if myself or our team can be of service to you.

Sincerely,
Mark Harrison
