2023 NORTHERN TEXAS PGA FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

The Northern Texas PGA Foundation is pleased to continue its charitable commitment to higher education by announcing our 2023 scholarship recipients. Eighty high school seniors who will be attending college this fall have earned scholarships totaling $696,500 – the most ever awarded in a single year by the NTPGA Foundation. The scholarship amounts vary from $2,500 to $20,000. In addition, two students were awarded a “last-dollar” full scholarship to one of the Foundation’s partner schools, the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) as well as to the University of North Texas at Dallas through the Deloitte / NTPGA Fairway To Success scholarship program. This year, of the scholarships awarded, 67% were based on financial need, academic performance, extracurricular activities and community involvement, while 33% were awarded based on academic performance, extracurricular activities and community involvement. Since 1983, the Northern Texas PGA Foundation has awarded $4,990,000  in college scholarships to 754 deserving students.

Graduating high school felt like the final hurdle toward being able to focus solely on what I wanted to become. College will provide me with the ability and tools necessary to explore my abilities as a prospective engineer. I wish to get involved in any robotics-related activities or clubs, or maybe even start my own. Through my college experiences, I hope to eventually get an internship at a large engineering company.
