Founded in 1983, The Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization, is committed to introducing and promoting the game of golf to children of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds throughout North Texas and instilling in them the positive, character developing traits for which the game is so well known. With a full circle of programs and services, close to 10,000 children and their parents are impacted by the game of golf each year:
Introduction - Summer Golf Camps, Fairway to Success After School Program, and Golf in Schools
Junior Tour - Team Golf, Prep and Medalist Levels, and All American Tours
Education - College Scholarships
Employment - Internship Program
Philanthropy - Kids Play FORE Kids, Ewing Charity Classic, Birdies for Kids, Royal Oaks' Great 108, and Golf Club of Dallas Teach-A-Thon
Justin Leonard, a PGA TOUR veteran, is the NTPGA Junior Golf Foundation spokesperson. Justin grew up in Dallas where he attended Lake Highlands High School and was a member of the NTPGA Junior Tour. He then went on to play collegiate golf at The University of Texas where he majored in business. Justin is a 12-time PGA TOUR winner, and has also played on three Ryder Cup teams and five Presidents Cup teams. Justin has not only been a supporter of the NTPGA Junior Tour, but also supports the Deliotte Justin Leonard scholarship program, which is an incentive to keep students in school, while providing access to a college education to those who otherwise may not have the opportunity.
