Northern Texas Junior Golf Association

Championships & Special Events

In addition to the tournaments conducted in each tournament series, the Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour hosts several Championships and Special Events throughout the year.

The Texas Boys & Girls PGA Championship is conducted in July and serves as the "State Championship" for junior golfers 12 years of age and younger.   The champion from each age division receives a spot on the Northern Texas PGA Texas Junior Cup Team.

The Ewing Automotive East, Metro and West Area Championships are conducted towards the end of each summer and serves as a qualifier for the Ewing Automotive Tour Championship.  In addition, the Ewing Automotive Area Championships are the final opportunity to earn points towards each chapter's Golf Galaxy Summer Points Challenge.

The Ewing Automotive Tour Championship is the final and most prestigious event of the summer and features 150 of the best playing junior golfers in North Texas.

The Texas Junior Cup Matches is an annual competition between the Northern Texas PGA and Southern Texas PGA Junior Tours' top six boys and top six girls aged six to twelve.  The Matches provide a unique, one of a kind experience for each Tour's younger and more experienced junior golfers.

The Parent-Junior Golf Classic is a unique event on the schedule as it is the only time during the year when our junior golfers have an opportunity to compete in a tournament with their parent.  A Parent-Junior Golf Classic is conducted once in the summer and again in the fall.
